New additions to the Hornby Skaledale and scenics ranges.
ANOTHER MONTH AND another bumper selection of new products from Hornby, which includes a new series of buildings in the Skaledale series, loads of new scenic items and an oddball mix of wagons and other vehicles.
The Skaledale range sees a new collection based around a Farm theme. Released so far are R8782 Farmhouse (RRP £23.00), R8783 Farm outhouse (RRP £14.25) and R8785 Farm tractor/plough shed (RRP £19.00).
To go with these new buildings is a new vehicle in the Skale Autos range: R7017 Farm Tractor represents a typically transition era machine and is priced £3.00.
One final structure was released at the same time. This is part of the Settle & Carlisle inspired station building series under the Skaledale East name: R8851 Water Tower – RRP £12.00
This month sees the debut of a range of scenic accessories under the Skale Scenics brand, as pictured above and at the top of this page. The full list of what is being released can be found in this document, but it includes ballast, field grass, rocks, gravel, turf, dirt, fibre strands, foliage and trees, the latter produced in both ready-to-plant (professional and economy versions) and kit form.
Finally, three new wagons have arrived in the office. The ancient 100-ton tanker tooling gains another ‘stand in’ livery in the form of VTG red (R6391, RRP £19.65). The Railroad range, meanwhile, gains R6421, which is the two-axle TTA painted in RMC orange (RRP £3.70) and R6422, an LNER two-axle box van (RRP £3.70).
