ViTrains releases two new ‘Tractors’

Two new Class 37s from the Italian manufacturer.

ViTrains Class 37s

OUT NOW IN the shops from ViTrains in ‘OO’ gauge are Class 37/0 No. 37229 Jonty Jarvis in DRS blue (Cat Ref. V2028) and Class 37/4 No. 37402 Bont Y Bermo in its uniquely coloured triple grey livery (Cat Ref. V2029).

For the former loco, ViTrains has produced revised nose end tooling to take account of the recess for the yet to be fitted DRS multiple working socket but, unfortunately, has used the same tooling for both ends. This means the recess is on the wrong side of the headlight at the no.1 (fan) end.

Additionally, the blue used for the DRS logos is far too dark while the main logo should have the website address on it rather than ‘Direct Rail Services’.

RRP for both locomotives is £64.95.

Please note: we’ve swapped the underframes between the two locomotives for the pictures because it seems to be more accurate (37229 should have the red bufferbeams and yellow axlebox covers). Maybe a mix-up in ViTrains’ factory?
