First Class 37s for 2008

ViTrains adds a pair of Class 37/3s to its range.

Vitrains 37371 and 37378

THE LATEST PRODUCTS to arrive from Italian ready-to-run manufacturer ViTrains are a pair of Class 37/3 sub-class machines, based on the earlier centre-headcode ’37/0′ locomotive.

First up is No. 37378 in Railfreight red stripe livery, with its characteristic large cabside numbers, stepped repeater numbers and black headcode panel at one end only (Cat No. V2027, RRP £59.95).

The other new release is No. 37371 in Mainline Freight aircraft blue livery (Cat No. V2048, RRP £59.95). Sadly, we note that ViTrains has incorrectly used a white stripe rather than the silver of the prototype, but this is an easy fix with a transfer, which will also correct the line thickness!

Note these models have not had the supplied detail parts fitted. These locomotives will feature in more depth in the next issue of RAIL EXPRESS Modeller, out on January 24th.
