WITH ITS ‘OO’ gauge Direct Rail Services/Stobart Rail Class 66/4 No. 66411 Eddie the Engine having only just arrived – and swiftly departed – from model shops around the country, Bachmann has followed this up with a ‘N’ scale version under the Graham Farish brand.

The model is one of two new liveries of the company’s Class 66 locomotive that are all based on the brand new ‘low emissions’ five-door body style, as follows: Class 66/9 No. 66952 Freightliner (Cat No. 371-390), both RRP £81.95, and ‘Eddie’ itself (Cat No. 371-391), RRP £86.05. Also new is original body style ‘Dred’ No. 66405 DRS/Malcolm Logistics (Cat No. 371-381). All are due in shops over the next few weeks.

Joining Graham Farish’s ever expanding ‘N’ gauge wagon range is the all-new Freightliner Heavy Haul HHA bogie coal hopper. Based on the same research that produced the excellent 4mm scale model, ‘N’ gaugers can also look forward to two variants of these vehicles.

Cat No. 373-801 is pictured below (hinged end door version), while the HHA hopper with sliding end doors is Cat No. 373-800. RRP for both examples is £18.30. They should be in model shops very soon.
