The first examples of Bachmann’s new ’66s’ will be available soon.
NEW FOR NOVEMBER in the Bachmann range are several versions of the company’s well regarded Class 66 locomotive, including the much anticipated low-emissions versions now in service with Freightliner, Direct Rail Services and FirstGBRf.
DRS Class 66/4 No. 66412 (Cat No. 32-976DC) is the first ‘five door’ Class 66 to be released and will be followed by DRS/Stobart Rail sister No. 66411 Eddie the Engine (Cat No. 32-977) and Freightliner Class 66/9 No. 66952 (Cat No. 32-975). The latter two examples feature an RRP of £80.00, while No. 66412, which includes DCC on board as standard is priced £92.00.
Also new is the second release of the split Freightliner/Shanks Class 66/5 No. 66522 East London Express, which is latest ‘original’ EMD Type 5 to be produced (Cat No. 32-726DS), and comes with DCC sound fitted, priced £157.50 RRP. Also soon to be available are three standard releases: No. 66407 in DRS (Cat No. 32-731), No. 66532 in Freightliner (Cat No. 32-732) and No. 66068 in EWS (Cat No. 32-733), all with an RRP of £77.70.
Finally, Bachmann has released a new livery on its ZKA ‘Limpet’ engineers wagon, which represents a non-InterCity branded CE ‘Dutch’ painted wagon (Cat No. 38-085A, priced £8.50).
