New ‘N’ and ‘OO’ models are on the way from Dapol.
DAPOL MODEL RAILWAYS has revealed an impressive programme of releases for the rest of the year and throughout 2008, pre-empting the traditional year end and toyfair announcements.
A new ‘Platinum’ brand has been adopted for an improved locomotive specification that includes a new design of skew-wound motor and low friction gearing. Four number/livery variations of the Class 35 diesel have been announced and will go on sale in December along with a brand new 9F 2-10-0 steam locomotive.
New rolling stock is also about to be made available imminently in the form of the GBRf and Freightliner FEA ‘twin’ flat wagon and the KIA/KHA sliding hood VTG bogie steel carrier.
Future diesel era products promised in the next 12 months include a Class 156 DMU plus dummy units, Class 67 locomotive and Mk. 3 Driving Van Trailer plus further liveries on existing products such as an Arriva CrossCountry Class 221.
The ‘OO’ gauge range is also to be expanded beyond the FEA & KIA wagons already announced with the provision of Rectank, Fruit D and Grampus vehicles.
