News: Bachmann releases a revised launch date of its forthcoming Class 37/4. Just Like The Real Thing shows pre-production samples of its new ‘O’ gauge Mk. 1 GUV and Mk. 2 air-conditioned coaches. Heljan is to re-release its ‘OO’ Class 47.
Reviews: ViTrains’ surprise new Class 37/4 model, priced at the ‘entry level’ end of the market, is given a critical going over by REM’s expert. Bachmann’s new Mk. 1 GUV in Rail express systems livery is also covered.
Features: ScotRail operations in the 1980s and 1990s are recreated on Falkirk Town, a highly automated ‘OO’ gauge model conceived in the UK but built in Germany. Steven McNaught describes the computer controlled layout.
