RAIL EXPRESS has once again teamed up with Hornby to bring you a superb new 4mm scale ‘OO’ gauge limited edition release. The subject is EWS’ Class 60 No. 60074 which was unveiled in a unique striking light blue livery at the National Railway Museum last March.
The Brush-built Type 5 has been widely travelled since its naming Teenage Spirit. The one-off livery, branding and name celebrates the valuable and important work done by the Teenage Cancer Trust.

With the full endorsement and support of EWS and the Teenage Cancer Trust, this magazine has commissioned a special production run of Hornby’s award-winning and highly-acclaimed Class 60 model. Should sales meet expectations, the charity will be the recipient of a significant donation towards its aim of opening specialist cancer treatment units at several hospitals.
The standard specification includes incredible levels of detail, opening cab doors, ultra-smooth running and LED directional lighting as well as being DCC ready. The model – which will no doubt quickly become a collector’s item – is strictly limited to 1,000 pieces and will come with etched nameplates, a special sleeve and certificate of authenticity. The model is priced lower than Hornby’s RRP at £99.95 and comes inclusive of UK recorded delivery P&P. Additionally, as a bonus, we are again offering a further £5.00 discount if you simultaneously take out a new RAIL EXPRESS annual subscription or extend an existing one.
